Joe M. Grant
Joe M. Grant concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial litigation and corporate law, primarily representing businesses and financial institutions in connection with equipment leasing, secured transactions and general corporate transactions. He has attained the highest possible rating of "AV" from Martindale Hubbell, the national directory of attorneys, indicating preeminent legal ability and the highest ethical standards. Mr. Grant obtained his Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor degrees from the University of Florida. He is admitted to the Florida Bar and the United States District Court for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Florida. Mr. Grant is a member of the Florida Bar, the Broward County Bar Association, and the Bankruptcy Bar Association for the Southern District of Florida.
Mr. Grant has successfully represented equipment lessor and funding sources in all aspects of equipment leasing including litigation, documentation, insolvency, and transactional matters. He also represents banks and other financial institutions in the area of commercial litigation, insolvency, secured transactions, real estate, business transactions and litigation. Mr. Grant has also negotiated and prepared the transactional documents for commercial business transactions, including purchase and sale agreements, equipment leasing, financing, corporate formation, and stock sales.
In addition, Mr. Grant has litigated many types of business disputes, including business torts, real property foreclosures and title claims, lender liability, Uniform Commercial Code (including Article 2 and Article 9) matters, franchise disputes, landlord/tenant actions, homeowners' and condominium association disputes, and construction litigation involving design defect claims, construction liens, payment disputes, and insurance claims.
Mr. Grant is a graduate of Leadership Fort Lauderdale Class XII, which is sponsored by the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce. Currently, Mr. Grant is the Committee Chair for Education Day for Leadership Fort Lauderdale's Class XV.
